LeSaint Delivers Island Relief
Island Relief has been able to deliver over 35,000 lbs of books and 200 computers to the Bahamas with the help of LeSaint’s generous donations. This translates to the contents of at least 5 community libraries and many additions to local school library collections. During the year, Island Relief receives donations from individuals, schools and local libraries. These books are packed and then delivered to LeSaint. Employees assist with unloading books and getting them ready to ship to Florida. Twice a year they are shipped to Florida and from there, shipped to the islands, where they are sorted and distributed to those most in need. Before LeSaint supported these efforts only a fraction of these used and unwanted books could be sent due to lack of manpower, storage and shipping. Instead they were recycled or destroyed.
Both Island Relief and the Bahamian recipients are truly grateful for the efforts provided by LeSaint Logistics and their employees.
